What is Grads?
The aim of Grads is to provide a transition from Minkey which is played on a small field to U11’s which is played on a full size field.
Grads players will typically be in Year 4 in 2010 and will play a modified form of hockey with 9 players on a ¾ sized field. We hope to have 5 or 6 teams of 9 or 10 players in 2010.
Grads players will train from 5 – 6pm on Wednesday afternoons at Fletcher Park, Weston St, Carlisle.
Vic Park Grads teams will play against other Grads teams in the local area on Saturday mornings from 8.30am to 9.30am. Some of the Grads games will be at Fletcher Park in Carlisle and some will be at another clubs grounds so we will aim to arrange car pooling where necessary.
Cost of Grads will be $75 and this includes a team photo, trophy and entry into the annual Hook into Hockey carnival held mid-season.
Uniform is as for J5/6 – Vic Park shirt (approx $30), black shorts and orange and black socks
Important Dates for 2010:
Sunday 21st February – Registration day at Fletcher Park, Carlisle.
Wednesday 21st April – First Grads training at Fletcher Park Carlisle 5 – 6pm
Monday 26th April - Grads players invited to play in YMCC pre-season carnival.
Saturday 1st May – First Grads game at Fletcher Park Carlisle 8.30 – 9.30am
