Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club

Congratulations to the Under 13A boys and the Under 15A girls who both won their divisions at the State Championships held at Perth Hockey Stadium during the school holidays. This makes three for the year with the Under 17A girls being successful earlier in the year. Our aim for all carnivals is always to have maximum participation and it's exciting to have lots of juniors involved and also some success!

More than 80 players represented the Panthers in both A and B divisions in the Under 13 and 15 age groups and did the club proud with their on and off the field behaviour.

Thank you to all of our coaches, many of whom were from our Under 17 sides and did a great job with the players. Michael Fernihough did another fantastic job with his team of junior umpires. Thank you also to all the parents who supported the coaches and acted as team managers during the carnivals.

PLAYER INSURANCE

The Club insures its members for basic player insurance (except minkey players) and all details are at the below link or alternately go to Hockey WA’s web site http://www.hockeywa.org.au and click on Player Insurance in the quick links on the right hand side of the screen.

Either way, the coverage is able to be increased by individual players to cover their own circumstances and it may pay to look at this option if you do not have private medical cover and/or income protection and/or reasonable sick leave allowances.

The current player insurance is the basic cover offered to Clubs so please make your own risk assessment of your own and/or children’s circumstances.
